onan no run update

After replacing bad starter, checked all systems narrowed it to regulator. It was the dreaded bugs up the vent tube problem.will have to put a filter on end to stop this again. So check your vent tubes on the reg.if you have a propane genset.

Onan No Run

Has anyone got the ign. coil resistance specs for a 6.5 nhe without points. I have the specs for one with points but am not sure if they are the same. Seems like weak spark. It is propane fed ,worked fine about 2 months ago.
Thanks-John

RE: Removing glass from rear view mirrors

One more thing I g put my lights on the arms . much easier than running wires all the way into mirror .That is also how Velvac mounts them

RE: Removing glass from rear view mirrors

If you have Velvac mirrors go to thier wbsite for downloadable specs. if your model is not there e-mail them and they will send them to you. I did this to see how the glass gets replaced.

RE: Cleaning Silicon Sealant

If no decals or fresh paint is in area to be done use laquer thinner,it will soften it up then scrape off with a plastic putty knife. It may take a few wipings but works on most silicons

RE: Air Brake Chamber

If you do not know how ,take it somewhere. You need to cut the rod to correct lenght for proper operation. Do you know the size 30/30 24/30 is it a long stroke chamber. Not trying to be smart but showing that it is something you need to know about. You can not mix a long stroke with a standard on same axle. Do an internet search and you will find more info than you realize for this. Also as stated do not take it apart.it is like a loaded gun.

RE: Faulkner Awning Valance

you may be able to turn the end cap and line slots up if it is held in place by screws without removing it. I think that is how my carefree is set up.

RE: Cummins C8.3L Lubricating Oil Cooler

If an oil cooler fails internally you will get oil in your cooling system as oil pressure is greater than the coolant pressure. If your coolant is looking good it should be ok. It is rare for an oil cooler to fail, Your coolant filter is on top left side of engine looking from rear just behind the alternator. When you say overheats what temp does it get to. Do you run the dash a/c in that situation, if so shut it off and see what happens. Also what temp does your transmission fluid get at that time.More info will help.

RE: electrical problems

Mine is a grey box located next to converter by the circiut box under bed. Usually shore power will go to it and the generator. It is supposed to activate automatically.Could be as bullydogs said if all your components are in same area the smell would come from there and be hard to say which one it was.

RE: electrical problems

You may want to check your transfer switch. The contacts may have been stuck.

RE: Replacing rear radiator in CT. Any repair shop suggestions?

Are you sure radiator is bad,2004 is kind of soon.was it pressure tested and is it aluminum ? Depending on problem it could go into $2000.00 or more depending on who you go to. If just a repair should be less. Its a class A they will make you pay.

RE: I need fridge help .

Does your cook stove work when this happens. If not and both dont light then it may be a problem with your propane detector. These doe act up some times and will not let any power or propane to the unit.

RE: HELP!! Trying To Find Water Temp Sensor, 94 Cummins B-Series

jim, that could be a low coolant sensor. My Spartan has it on the Radiator tank for low coolant. temp sensors should be on the head or coolant manifold somewhere attached to head on most all cummins .tcr ,did you look on the sides also of head,if no others are on eng. it would have to be the one in picture.

RE: HELP!! Trying To Find Water Temp Sensor, 94 Cummins B-Series

I had one exactly where you show in picture ,I installed it for a separate temp gauge. there also is one I think on the rear of the head .That works the stock gauge and light. Mine was on a pickup so it could be somewhere else. But check the head on rear.

RE: Cummins Engine

If it is like mine it could be your P/S resvoir which is next to engine. If on the engine attached to a short tube it is an oil fill, this goes right to the crankcase from the front engine cover. I also have oil fill on the valve cover.Send me a picture by PM
